Mind the Gap!
Ceramic Studies and Discontinuities in the Archaeological Record
Gaps in the archaeological record recur through time and space. Some are real, but often they are merely perceived, awaiting resolution.
‘Mind the Gap!’ is a two-day workshop at the Saxo Institute, that will concentrate on the resolution of these perceived gaps through ceramic studies, and the related issues of production mode and craft specialization.
Papers will focus on the Mediterranean, from the Hellenistic to the Medieval periods.
