About

Dr. Peters is a Lecturer in Caribbean and Atlantic History at the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus (Jamaica) and a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society. He was previously at the University of Warwick and the Bennett Boskey Fellow in Atlantic History at the University of Oxford. He currently researches the history of the rise of a Greater Southern Caribbean region in the late eighteenth century, showing evidence for a very polyglot, cross-imperial, and interconnected world.
