Corinne Mühlemann is a Marie Skłodowska Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark, at the Centre for Textile Research. In her current research, she focuses on the pattern notation systems of complex weaves, the transfer of craft knowledge between Baghdad and the Iberian Peninsula as well as the status of textile makers within the premodern Islamic society. Her forthcoming book Complex Weaves: Technique, Text and Cultural History of Striped Silks is bridging the fields of Textile History and Islamic Art History.
