Sebastian Conrad is Professor of History at the Freie Universität Berlin. He is a leading expert in the field of global history and has worked extensively on issues of colonialism and post-colonialism, trans-nationalism, intellectual history, memory, and historiography. His most recent publications include the highly praised monograph What is Global History? (Princeton University Press, 2016).
