Managing a collection
In this second out of three lectures at the Saxo Institute, Rhonda Bathurst will give a more detailed overview of how archaeologists at Sustainable Archaeology store and manage collections between two research institutions (Western and McMaster).
RFID tracking
Rhonda Bathurst will also explain how collections are prepared for long-term storage, lessons learned in the application of RFID tracking, and how they use 2D barcoding as a means of cataloguing, tracking, and utilizing collections.
First Nation collections
Rhonda Bathurst will also explain how her organization has handled issues relating to First Nations guidance on collections management and future relationships planned with First Nations' communities.
