Podcast: L'invasione: 5. A contatto
Press/Media: Press / Media
Half of the world's population, therefore approximately 3 billion people, speak a language that descends from a single original language. This language arrived in Europe five thousand years ago and gave rise to many languages that we speak today: Italian, English, French, Spanish, but also Icelandic, Lithuanian, Russian, and many others. If we move a few kilometers away, even Hindi, the most spoken language in India, and Farsi, i.e. Persian, descend from this single ancestor language, which we call Proto-Indo-European. The people who spread it also brought with them a series of myths, a certain way of thinking, a very precise idea of society, with men firmly in command. The invasion is a Post podcast that reconstructs the history of these people and their language. It was written and told by Luca Misculin, Post journalist, and Riccardo Ginevra, researcher and professor of Glottology and Linguistics at the Catholic University of Milan.
